SnakeClan Camp

SnakeClan camp is deep within the desert in an abandoned Egyptian village, close to one of the pyramids, though this one was long lost.

Appleshadow, the cripple-footed she-cat with the ginger and white fur was currently limping towards her den with a Star Flower in her mouth because she wanted to make sure if anyone was bitten by a venomous snake she'd be ready for it.

Foxcatcher walked into the camp entrance carrying a large, dead venomous diamond-back rattlesnake that she had killed just now. The thing was twice the length of her body.

Antspring was snoozing in the shade of one of the buildings.

Talonfern flicked her tail and looked around camp, relaxing as the hot, desert sun warmed her fur. She padded forward, tail waving lightly in the air while she purred.

Foxcatcher dipped her head to Talonfern, the huge venomous snake hanging from her mouth, now dragging on the ground.

Antspring was still asleep only he curled up tighter. Even though he lived in a desert he was still cold.

Appleshadow started sorting through her herbs to make sure they were organized.

Foxcatcher brought the snake over to her. "Caught this mouse-brain trying to bite me today." she said, proud of killing such a big venomous snake.

Antspring woke up to hear his sister talking about something trying to bite her and figured it was a snake.

Appleshadow came back outside to warm up in the sunlight.

Talonfern flicked her tail. "Good job on killing it. Try to stay away from venomous snakes next time," she meowed sternly and got to her paws, ears twitching as she padded towards the medicine den.

Appleshadow was sitting just outside the medicine den. The ginger tabby and white angora cat was always up for a good day.

Antspring came outside and stretched with a loud yawn.

Foxcatcher lowered her ears and she dropped the dead snake at her feet.

Talonfern purred a greeting to the medicine cat. "Are you doing alright?" She mewed, knowing the drought was most likely affecting the herb storage.

Appleshadow shook her head. "No, two kits are sick and I can't cure them, I've searched for their cures all over the territory and couldn't find a single leaf of them." she said worriedly. "I'm afraid this drought might take the lives of two precious kits." she said sadly and glanced towards the sky.

Talonfern flattened her ears and ducked her head. "Do you know what herbs are needed? I can send a patrol with you to SeaClan or LavaClan," she meowed, worried for the two kits.

"I couldn't find any catmint or tansy this time. I checked the usual places but all of them had been dried up. I couldn't give those kits dried up plants, it could make them worse." she said and flicked an ear as she heard one of them coughing.

Talonfern nodded and flicked her tail. "There's a lot of catmint by our border with LavaClan. I found it while hunting there with a patrol. And SeaClan is has a lot of tansy."

Appleshadow winced and frowned. "I can't walk that far anymore, half-way there my leg started aching." she said, sad about her disability. "And SeaClan, are you mouse-brained, that's far away." she said.

Appleshadow sighed a bit. "Okay, but you will have to hurry. I don't want these kits to get greencough. They are already coughing and running high fevers." she said worriedly.

Talonfern nodded and looked to the clan. "Foxcatcher, Antspring, come with me," she called.

Appleshadow padded back into the medicine den and tried her best to calm the fearful kits down.

Foxcatcher raised her ears and quickly padded over to her.

Antspring would take some convincing to go along. The fearful tom was way less braver than his sibling.

Talonfern looked to Antspring and growled, padding over. "Get up," she snapped.

Foxcatcher watched her brother worriedly. Sure he was fearful but she had never seen him this fearful.

Antspring quickly got up. Like him and sister's names he was small and fearful like the ant he was named after while his sister was quick and cunning like the fox she was named after.

Antspring tucked his tail between his legs and walked after them, following his sister closely.
